HRA annual meeting March 27

It's that time again!

HRA's annual meeting will be March 27.  From the upcoming HRA newsletter:

Quote
The annual meeting and cookout for the Hawaii Rifle Association will be held Sunday, March27, in Action Bay 1 at the Koko Head Shooting Complex.  There will be morning shooting events, lunch, the meeting, and more shooting events.

Setup: 8am
Lunch: 11am – 12pm
Meeting: 12 – 1pm
Open shoot: 1 – 3pm
Cleanup: 3 – 4pm

Elections for officers will be held, and reports on the various undertakings HRA has been, and continues to be, involved in will be presented.  If you would like to become more involved in HRA, this is a great opportunity.  Nominations for officers and Board of Director members will be taken at the meeting, or can be emailed in advance to HRA President Harvey Gerwig at hghawaii@gmail.com.

So, all of you who grumble about what HRA is, or isn't, get down there and nominate yourself for a board position!

No worries!  I meant to post it after the initial announcement in the February newsletter, but never quite got around to it!

Just got a reminder about the meeting from the NRA-ILA. For those of you folks that forgot or didn't hear yet:

Quote
This Sunday, March 27, the NRA's state association, the Hawaii Rifle Association (HRA), will be hosting its annual members meeting at the Kokohead Shooting Complex at the "LIFE" shooting bay (first action shooting bay).

The meeting portion of the day's activities will begin at 1:00 p.m., however, HRA members are invited to join in the shooting festivities beginning at 10:00 a.m.  Lunch will be served at noon and, after the annual meeting, shooting events will resume.

Attendees will hear from HRA officers, and members will have the opportunity to elect board members.  HRA membership will need to be verified prior to voting in the proceedings.  This promises to be an informative and enjoyable day, so please plan on attending!

For those that would like to come and are current members of HRA, please respond to HRA President Harvey Gerwig via e-mail at hghawaii@gmail.com.  If you are not a member of HRA and would like to join at the event, there will be a membership table available at the Shooting Complex on Sunday

The current BOD was re-elected. Financial report showed a healthy financial status. Membership issues are being addressed by the purchase of new software that will help keep track of, and provide reminders of expiration dates (as well as allow LIFE to use online registration for its classes), and that the most onerous bills introduced this legilative sessions are pretty much dead, but that we should all continue to be on standby to submit testimony should any backroom deals resurrect them.

That's it in a nutshell....

That kind of software should be relatively cheap and easy to find, but good job on updating anyway. I wish the HRA continued success in the future.
