Well, here's a source of errant projectiles that few considered before blaming Kokohead. It happens.

"Fazeli says police confiscated the bullet. He says police said it would be difficult to pinpoint exactly who shot the bullet."

He has no argument as the police can't come to a definitive conclusion.

This is just purely academic but doesn't the BATF or some other governmental agency have access to the "fingerprint" record of any modern day handgun that can be used to trace the make and model of the firearm used and consequently its last known registered owner? I thought that was the primary reason why each handgun comes with a spent casing.

that doesn't stop him from repeating it over and over that they were incidents associated with the range

I am in the holualoa area of Kona and new years there were definitely people around me shooting their guns off, it is pretty easy to distinct a gunshot from a firecracker. Especially when you hear them do a mag dump then reload and go again.

The spent shell or casing that comes with new purchases are due to some states make it mandatory to keep one on file with police or law enforcement agencies.  This is not done in this state...yet...  There is no known (wink wink NSA) federal or state data bank of the "ballistic fingerprints" of every gun sold or processed within the united states for tracking purposes...

No one is coming, it’s up to us.

Legislation should never be about depriving law abiding citizens of something, but rather taking those things away from criminals.
