so i got a PASGT helmet at the last swap meet
i ordered the upgrade kit for the pads and chinstraps from amazon

watching the NFC championship and taking apart the old helmet, and i find that the clips that hold the suspension for the helmet are rusting
i can get them off of the helmet if i cut them, but there aren't any new ones in the kit
is there someplace local i can get them?
i searched google and can't find them on the internet either
is there a jury-rigged solution?

Attached a pic of my ACH, with the comfort kit I got while on my most recent deployment.   I kinda thought the PASGT got the same treatment with most upgrade kits... Old school suspension completely removed, replaced by Velcro & thicker pads like these.   Do you have a pic of the kit you're getting?   Also, what size is the shell?   I may have an upgraded GENTEX chin strap you can have (if I can find it).   It's for a medium shell I believe...

Oh, and are you talking about the clips that secure the leather sweat band to the existing suspension?   If so then that's easy... I have those from my old PASGT

i got the complete upgrade kit with suspension and chinstrap
it basically makes the PASGT into an ACH type
i have all the pieces, except i need to reuse the clips
and i can't get them off because they are rusted

LOL, no problem macsak... Was just a lucky guess, eBay can be a pain to search

I sadly don't have any of those, all I've got are the spring clips to secure the sweat band to the old school web suspension.   But the link I included should be good to go, think the seller has more than a few sets available

Mac...didn't I tell you to order the OPSCORE chin strap? The clips come with the kit.

The chinstrap comes as a set. It would be pointless to sell a chinstrap without the hardware to mount it.

And this would have been probably the best upgrade you could have done for this helmet. You'll find out soon enough...
