Mainstream Media Bias
« on: January 29, 2014, 06:17:48 PM »
Is it just me, or did ALL the local mainstream make it sound like yesterday’s incident at Roosevelt was a mass shooting incident?   Nearly all blurbs and headlines start off with 'School Shooting'  'Shooting at School' 'Gunfire Rocks School' and other such garbage!  Most people don't bother to even read articles or really find out what the heck happened, and are thus misinformed and biasedly manipulated.
  >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(
IMHO, it looks like they are really trying to sway the uninformed in a way to make more gun control possible, more than usual.

I think special attention needs to be paid to the legislature this year.  I feel like they are trying hard to pull something off.

I have to agree, when I first saw this story on the news I thought some kid had gotten ahold of a relatives gun and shot up the school. They did it  that way on purpose, to garner as much "shock and awe" as possible.

The politicians, with the fervent assistance of the media, are always trying to pull the wool over the eyes of the voters.
Remember, all the "bad" bills that we wrote and protested about are still alive. They'll try and slide them by us again this year. We'll have to write and email and testify against all of them, plus some new ones, this year.

Always be yourself.
Unless you can be a pirate.
Then always be a pirate.

Why didn't they post up the truth, "Knife wielding 17 year old shot by HPD".  The headlines used, I have to say it was misleading.  Much like seeing that small screen cap pic of a solid lookin chic on the youtube video, only to be pissed to sit through 3 minutes of senseless blabber just to see what that screen cap pic was about.

What really gets me riled up is this craps is passed off as "News"

Even after the details where known for some time, they still continued the rhetoric....

I knew this was coming...http://www.hawaiinewsnow.com/story/24585211/mother-police-shooting-was-excessive
As legal guardian she FAILED in her responsibility. She relied on the same people to go get her son and now she says the force used was excessive? WTF? Your teen brought a knife to school in violation of DOE policy which put hundreds of students at risk. If I had a kid that attended Roosevelt I'd be looking for an attorney to file a class action lawsuit against HER. This is a great example of how a suspect becomes a victim. Media bias or instigation? What about the family of the officer who was stabbed?
This teen escaped several times. Sure mental health issues, but it shouldn't overshadow the safety and rights of others.

Not to mention all this attention to the kid will inevitably encourage other attention hungry nuts to follow suit to get their 24 hrs of fame.   Copy cat Copy cat.....  Maybe that is what they want, the evil *&@#%,  it forwards their agenda.

yeah
Not even an apology from her. Take some damn responsibility. I'd be apologizing to the students of Roosevelt HS for putting them in danger and the officer who got stabbed because of my son's actions. So who would respond to her son's sudden appearance at this school? The Roosevelt staff felt concerned maybe even afraid for their own safety, should they have called the Peace Corps?
Should have used a Taser? She needs to be in a small room with a honeybadger. Honeybadger don't care about no Taser. Honeybadger will just go sleep.
