Firearm registration up 516% for Maui County

I thought this was kinda interesting. The key is in the last paragraph.

"The report states that, “While there has been an increase in firearm registration activity in Hawaii since 2000, the number of firearm-related violent crimes and the proportion of violent crimes involving firearms relative to other weapon types remained low and stable through 2007 and subsequently decreased.”

Just shows that law abiding responsible citizens are not the problem and Hawaii needs to adhere to the US Constitution and become a " Shall issue " state. It's our right,

What's up with that lead in photo then showing SRT and that table?  Why not instead show what that article's about, real people and the 10-22s or what they're actually buying.  Slanted media trying to scare readers right off the bat!  I calling you out MauiNow.com and writer Wendy Osher please explain.
Assault Rifle? What I have here is an Anti-Assault Rifle.

Yea I thought the same thing. A nice collection there.
I think that's an earlier pic from an article about
confiscated weapons. I think I've seen it before.
She probably figured it was scary enough though since the fact that
citizens are exercising their right is troubling to her.
It probably pained her dearly to put that last sentence about
the reduction of gun violence in there but at least she did.

The antis would say that although there is an increase in firearm purchases, the reason firearm violence is so low is because they can't be carried in public.  We all know that's not true, but somehow it makes sense to them.

The "antis" will always grasp at and twist around whatever they can to justify what they know isn't true
