Great -- more efforts to treat the law-abiding like criminals.

Why not prosecute the real criminals and their arms suppliers like Eric Holder?
I think, therefore I am armed.

The title of the article may be a bit misleading, but the amount of foresight lacking in the development of this so-called "solution" is astounding.

Even more ironic, considering that this is coming from Mr.Fast and Furious, himself.

And don't leave out the part where the DOJ is asking for AN ADDITIONAL $382.1 MILLION for "Gun Safety!!"

An unarmed man can only flee from evil, and evil is not overcome by fleeing from it.   -- Jeff Cooper

Tracking bracelets? Sounds like a way to form a federal registry without stating it.

And, this technology might work well with phaser beams and sci-fi shit like that, but could you imagine the cost involved to retrofit this technology on an old-school Mosin or simple wheel-gun?
Dude they already got a plan/bill in the U.S. Senate (the cost? no problem, the government will pay for the retrofit... your tax dollars at work):

http://redalertpolitics.com/2014/02/20/sen-markey-introduces-bill-for-personalized-handguns/

Some highlights... or lowlights:

Called the “Handgun Trigger Safety Act,” [Of course! For the children!] Markey unveiled the bill in Boston, Mass., on Wednesday [Feb. 12,  2014] before a crowd of local elected officials, gun control activists and members of the clergy. The legislation requires all new guns to be equipped with “personalized” technology to ensure that only the owner can operate it.
...
The Massachusetts Democrat’s bill would require all handguns manufactured in the United States two years from the law’s enactment to be personalized. Additionally, businesses or individuals selling a handgun would be required by law to retrofit the firearm with personalization technology three years from the enactment date. The cost of retrofitting the guns would be covered by a fund overseen by the Department of Justice.

“This is the type of gun legislation that everyone — regardless of political party or affiliation — should be able to support,” Markey said.

Yeah, right. Is this guy even more delusional and/or ignorant than the average elected official or what? I'd be surprised if anyone on this forum can read the whole article without having elevated blood pressure or laughing hysterically... unfortunately for me, I'm the elevated blood pressure type.     :wtf: :shake:

Now,now, several Hawaii2A members admit voting for Obunghole and his minions for a second term.  The site owner suggested not offending them.

At least one of them was honest ehough to admit that the 2A was not that important to him/her as other (whatever) stuff was.

Not many people are single issue voters. Yes, Obama is anti-gun and that is his issue, but focus on that and not the voters.

I think many people here are single issue voters in that their single issue is the upholding and preservation of the US Constitution.  That said, it can be argued that Obama misses the mark on several fronts with regards to that single issue (free speach "zones", right to bear arms, illegal search and seizure, due process, etc..).
It is what it is.

And while I think that should be the goal, I doubt many people actually think that way when selecting a candidate.

It is kind of hard to think that way when you look at the choices before you.  Lesser of two evils.
It is what it is.

I happen to believe that the 2nd amendment is the most important of all rights. Without it, we cannot enforce any other right. NONE.
