Who was the toughest movie or tv character (with a gun) of all time. (Read 12427 times)

Who do you think was the baddest or toughest person to ever tote a gun in a movie or on tv?

My vote goes to John Rambo.
I remember when I first watched those movies, I thought... Damn, that's a badass.

Dregs

Definitely Terminator. Reasons - the spinning shotgun, the portable minigun, and casually walking around shooting people with the gas-launcher while getting shot up.

As an added bonus, the Terminator Opera:

+1 for Rambo.

How awsome are his explosive tipped arrows. He blew up a helicopter with that thing! *thwippp*  ;D

Ichigeki Hissatsu

hmmm.  The terminator is cheating.  He's a machine from the future!

When talking HUMANS, i'd have to give it to Detective John McClane.  That guy goes through hell and back and he still ends up getting the bad guy lol.

808shooter

Dutch (Arnold Schwarzenegger) from Predator.  Badass supporting cast too.

The Duke.  Pick ANY movie.

How has no one brought up Jason Bourne?  "Yippie Kay yay! " was my first instinct, but felt it was too easy.  After thinking about it, Bourne would have made Die Hard a quick 30 minute tv episode.

I gotta agree with Ichigeki Hissatsu, the Terminator is a little to easy of a cop out since he's a machine.
Splitting the difference, Robocop takes the robot/man cyborg category.

Helen Ripley in ALIENS......wakes up from a 58 year nap"Cryo Sleep", duct tapes a M41A1 Pulse Rifle to a Flame Thrower, has 100% accuracy and then cage fights a 15 ft Alien.  Bad Ass Chic.

Newt because she didn't need any weapon to survive.

Burt, from the first Tremors movie.  The graboid comes busrting through his basement armory and he and his wife (Reeba Mcentire) use virtually every single gun to kill it.  I remember watching that movie as a kid and thinking to myself, someday I'm gonna have a basement just like that.

Harry Callahan & John McClane...both great regular guy heroes but not exactly bad or tough. Who among us wouldn't do what they did if it was their job/family?

How about Vincent and Jules (Pulp Fiction)? Ice cold killers. Crazy hair. Royale with cheese.

Al Pacino: As Michael Corelone...had a bunch of people "sleeping with the fish", including his brother.
Or Tony Montana, a pile of yayo and a "little friend" goes a long way.

If choosing actors, I'd have to pick Pacino all the way. Godfather Trilogy, Serpico, Dog Day Afternoon, Heat, Carlito's Way, Scarface, etc. Not exactly Arnold or Stallone, but at least its believable and 'roid free   .
