This happened right behind my house.  Both were armed 1 with rifle 1 with pistol. One guys held the door open while the other asked tellers for money.  Cops all over my neighborhood this morning because the 2 masked men were observed fleeing behind the shopping center which is my neighborhood.  Cops came and knocked on everyone door except mines because we have dogs.  Anyways I met them outside with my dog because I was woken up by the sirens, radios, and dogs barking and I wanted to know what was going on.  I went and checked my backyard and offered to tie up my dogs if they like check.  Sounded to me like they were pretty confident that my dogs would have alerted their presence, and they would have, so they never had to check my backyard. Spoke with a few cops briefly.  Soon after swat rolled up in a heavily armored HPD vehicle and was re-checking all the houses, checking backyards, opening trash bins.  Soon after that they came by with a German shepherd.  Thanks to them for doing their job, hopefully they catch the two idiots cuz i dont want that action in my hood...secrets don't last long on this island.

I'm sorry that happened to you and your neighbors. I hope they catch the FELONS involved. It just goes to show that the criminal activity in Hawaii is becoming more and more like the mainland  . It is only a matter of time that innocent people will be hurt or worse. 

its amazing that these morons robbed a bank in Hawaii.  I mean how much could you have possibly gotten?  thing is your still suck in Hawaii, on a natural prison in the middle of nowhere.  good luck getting away with it... 

and you absolutely right, secrets don't last long on this island.  Only way its gonna stay a secret is if one of the guys kills the other before he can brag about it and that guy doesn't say crap about it ever which is highly unlikely.

being that there was an elementary school right across the street didn't deter these guys.

thanks SOLE and i agree, this casts a shadow of doubt and distrust over my neighborhood and thus, along with these guys STILL on the loose, i fear even beefier hpd presence in my neighborhood.  the other day i drove to wendy's to grab a burger and passed by 3 cop cars.  wendy's is 1 mile from my house.     

also can't believe this happened being that there is a school across the street, st. philomena church and preschool round the corner, and vast navy housing right up the street. 

i saw the security camera photos released to the news of the suspects while inside the bank, they looked like light-set dudes, not big guys.  One guy's rifle looked as big as him, that is exaggerated opinion tho.  Couldnt tell what kind of rifle and handgun they were tho, image is real fuzzy.  maybe one of you guys can tell? 

I wonder what the guys' accents were like?  good english? broken english? its worth pondering... regardless it seems like these guys had it well planned, ski masks and hoodies, the guy with rifle stood by the door while the other with handgun demanded money.  Not professional but very cautious and well-planned, they definitely had their outs.  creeps me out to think dudes are scoping my neighborhood for outs

i noticed that too 

its not the first time this location was hit, though it might have been a diner/restaurant at the time but on that occasion the manager was shot dead while the robbers made off with cash... as i have been told.  This occurred before i was born which would be sometime before 1988.

You know I never got why their cameras are so low res. If I owned a bank I'd put hi res hidden cameras at each teller window. They are really not that expensive.

with so much military personell in the salt lake, moanalua, radford, aliamanu areas...it might be worth looking into.  I aint makin accusation on military personnel (after all I've had friends who lived in the moanalua housing areas) but its not too far off.  and the housing area seems like a good, secure, well-camouflaged place to hide right under the authorities' noses.  possibly some dudes looking for a thrill or strip-club money.  might not take it to home plate but im just tryna cover all the bases....no pun intended
