Nice. I've been planning to check out the Nuuanu pig population. Where'd you get this one?

What do you do with it after you catch it?

Bleed it

Skin it

Butcher it

Freeze it

Then it's boar-o-rama for dinner for a while.

Oh and I'm bleaching the skull to hang on my wall.

Keoni,

Would like to go Boar Hunting before I leave here early next year.

Best place to go (Bow or Rifle, might even think about the spear)

You down for a trip?  I got my liscense.
Relax, I've banned myself..

I'm always down to hunt.

Different places depending on how you want to hunt.

I got some friends with private land too.

Nice piggy, Kingkeoni.  I just found not long ago that rifle hunting is allowed in Hawaii; I'd always just taken it for granted that out here it would be restricted to shotgun or bow only.  (I may have gotten some bad gouge when I first arrived, but the guilty shall remain anonymous...  ;D)  Anyway, are the public hunting areas worth going to, or are they pretty much hunted out?  Seems like I see quite a few of those cage deals in the back of trucks, which if I'm not mistaken, or for the dogs people use for hunting.  Maybe I'm just seeing the same guys over and over, but it seems like a lot of hunters for a very few public hunting areas.  Anyway, just wondering if there's quite a few boars in those public hunting grounds or not.

Going to sight in my Bow this week (weekend). Then I will be ready to go.  It would be a blast for sure!

So I got a decent bow from a kid on the island that decided archery wasn't for him. Took the day off of work and went to the range to sight in the bow and get in some practice.

Bought a complete left handed set up from the guy for dirt cheap. Went down to the local archery shop and added some upgrades (roller, new rest, different peep sight).

Went to the range and started my sight from 10-60 yards.

I haven't shot a bow since I was 19 (now 37  ). But I thought the bow shot great.

Here is a pic from my first group on my 40 yard sight in. I know it is a tad low, but it seems good to me. Dialed the bow in for height after this group.

Was able to reproduce the same group over and over at 50 and 60 yards.

Makes me wonder why I ever stopped shooting and what my skill level would be today if I hadn't given it up for pistols/rifles.
Relax, I've banned myself..

Sorry for bumping a old thread but probably better then starting a new one about the same thing.

Anywho keoni you still hunting?  Been waiting to get out but dont know much places or where to begin.  Pretty much new at this.  Mind if i tag along on one of your hunts, or could do a hunt together.
