What is your bump in the night gun.

This is a picture thread, so show and tell.

My cheap-ass 12gauge Mossberg Maverick. If I ever end up having to shoot an invader, I don't want the cops taking one of my expensive guns.

Not only the rack, but the shotgun too. Is that an 11-87?

NM, I read in the other thread it is a Benelli M1 Super 90

Is there enough counterweight on that thing so when you jump on the bed it doesn't toss your gun in the air? Is there any rattle? In other words, is it noticeable? I don't think it will pass the committee if it's so noticeable it starts bothering her.

Clearly this should be an amendment to a bill and not go through committee!

I'd say try executive order, but that may end up in an impeachment :)

They eventually give it back, but still...smart.

Hrmmm not to "poo-poo" a nice set up, but I don't think that would work for people with kids. And unless of you only keep it that way when at home/in bed, it's not exactly responsibly secured. <----just something I'm adamant about.

As for me, I don't believe in just a "night stand" gun. The majority of home invasions take place when occupants are awake and doing things around the house.
SO I keep kitchen and bathroom guns also (all secure but accessible in under 3 seconds).
