I keep watching Amazon for a used copy of "The Untouchables" about the SR-71 missions.

Used copies are still around $70.

Still the fastest jet aircraft ever built, and it was done by a bunch of guys with slide rules.

Only the older guys on this forum probably know what a slide rule is.

For the youngsters, it's what we used before hand held electronic calculators and computers. Along with pencils and scratch paper.

My old K+E LOG LOG DUPLEX DECITRIG sets here on the desk, but now I have to put on reading glasses to read the damn thing.

Don't recall that problem back when I used it for reals..............
