saw 88ss and friends, ambubadger, jaynick, histate, and wirecounter
had a lot of fun despite a bunch of issues with 240grn coated lead "heads" in 300 blk
and sterling with his AK

i learned a lot about ARs and reloading in the last week
Don't blame the "head"

What sort of problems were you having?

Main one is that the large projectiles are causing problems in the neck area
Result is feeding issues and stuck rounds

The solution may be a a ball sizer (or something like that, I'm new at this and sometimes they tell me things wrong by just to mess with me, especially when they can use terms like "ball sizer")

The other problem is cycling and kickback issues with my carbine length gas system
We are going to try a different buffer and spring to try and fix this

I plan on going tomorrow, probably get there just after noon...  Rifle side to start (first rounds through my home-brew AR!), then might spend a little time on the pistol side.

Went.  Parked the car, opened the trunk, and realized I left the bag with targets, stapler, and ear pro at home.  Left.  Will try again tomorrow.      :grrr:

If you stay ready, you don't have to get ready.

Got there today, had a good time.  First rounds through my AR, figured out how to get my 10/22 on paper at 100 yards.... Great way to spend a Saturday morning!

EDIT: And I brought everything with me this time...   :D

the parking lot will be packed
rifle side in the past has had some benches reserved for the shooting sports fair, but i am not sure how many or if there will be any this year
