yeah- life is short
Gotta enjoy it while we can.
Even if our government says no.
Also spent a few minutes with glocknewb and a nicaraguan toro yesterday.
It made me pleasantly wobbly.

Along that line, I have an auntie (a real auntie) who will be 100 years old in December.
Her sister is 90-something yrs old.
When she was asked, "what is the secret to long life?"
She replied, "THREE BEERS A DAY!"

So that's what happened. . .

Was at the range most of the day yesterday and got calls/text from folks that were planning on joining us that traffic was snarled from both directions.  Heard a bunch of sirens and heard rumors that "someone jumped".

Additionally, noticed that traffic at Hanauma Bay also getting sketchy and borderline dangerous as folks queue up ahead of the parking lot opening.  The park staff doing a good job of keeping folks from blocking the entrance at the highway, but results in folks either A) parking on the side away from the entrance or B) doing U-turns (and doing their best Austin Powers) along the highway. . .

Weather permitting, I'm heading out to test these new loads today. I started using my old stash of powder since the price of powder became so high. These loads used Bullseye powder  which has been sitting around for 30 years.
The first bullet is my hand cast bullet using a mold made by Miha Previc in Slovenia. It is sized to 0.452 dia and lubricated with my own blend of Hawaiian beeswax and Alox2138F.

The second bullet is a soft swaged target hollow point .

The third is a polymer coated bullet from Blue

Chrono test using 4.0 gr of Bullseye in each load. Colt gvt 5.5 in barsto match bbl with fed brass and wwLpp. Velocity/SD
.....
The first bullet is my 200 gr.hand cast bullet using a mold made by Miha Previc in Slovenia. It is sized to 0.452 dia and lubricated with my own blend of Hawaiian beeswax and Alox2138F.
=746/6
The second bullet is a 185 gr soft swaged target hollow point .
=700/10
The third is a 230 gr polymer coated bullet from Blue
=709/9

Why is the lightest bullet the slowest bullet?
It doesn't make sense.

With the range now open on weekdays, how busy is it on the weekends?  On the reservation website I do see a lot more openings now than before.
