Welcome to the dark side.

The church of Kalishnikov welcomes all members.

Thank you kind Sir.  But the AK's were my most recent acquisitions.  Which leads me to my next question, we always ask what was your first.  Why do we never ask what was your second?  I tend to think that after thorough contemplation your second buy is always a more smarter choice right?

Never owned a gun. Waiting (11 days left) for my first two guns, SIG P250c 9mm, and SIG 1911 22.

I can has Kalashnikov?

First one was a Norinco with a folding stock.  The Model 1960 (built from a milled receiver and a Polish parts kit) is awesome, and there's more drop than on an AKM, so the sights are easier to line up.

Rossi 5 shot 38special. Sold it to get a Ruger 10/22 which my wife now calls "her" gun. I was around 27.

My first rifle is a Savage/Anschutz Model 64 Target .22. I still have it and the Redfield peep sights. When my father died I found the receipt for all of it. Bought in 1970.

My first pistol was a MAB P-15 9mm. It was one of those pistols with the barrel that twists about a quarter turn during firing. Wish I still had it.

My first gun was a Mossberg 500 shotgun combo deal from OGC.  I got the one that had the home defense barrel and bird barrel for hunting up on the Big Island.  That was just over a year ago and funny thing is I haven't made it to the Big Island yet.  I was 34 years old, the wifey finally gave into all my nagging her about guns, self defense and hunting.

The 1st gun I purchased myself was a piece of crap Star 9MM from a pawn shop.
I didn't have it long before realizing you get what you pay for, sold it for a new Ruger P94.

HK USP 40c almost 15 years ago now. Didn't buy anything in between then and October 2012. I seemed to have jumped back into firearms at a great time for prices and availability of both guns and ammo (sarcastic tone). Haha.

As far as powder-actuated, a Remington nylon bolt .22 rifle which I bought for our move out to Colorado from New York City many years ago.  I mean, y'know, like I tole my wife1, "There are bears out there in Calaradee."
