I bought Sierra 9mm (.355-.356) 115gr JHP bullets. On Hodgdon's site it only lists one powder under JHP. Is that really my only choice to choose from or can I use the chart under LRN, FMJ, and SPR GDHP?

Also in my Lyman's book it lists different brands of powder. It doesn't say which model or type for each brand to get. Am I supposed to look up the brand and figure out which types are within the starting and max grains?

Those are not brands. Those are the actual names of the powders. Any of those will work...with varying degrees of success.

Oh haha. I have Unique at home. One more question. How come one is bolded? Is that the one they used or is it something special?

Check the bottom portion of the page.  Not sure if anything has changed, but my Lyman's says something to the effect:  bold designates potentially most accurate, and shaded is max.  My book is the 49th I believe.

You're right. My 20/10 vision didn't see it.

Unique powder is best used for high performance 9mm ammo.
That means near-max charge weights to build up pressure for a clean burn.
Curiously, Alliant lists 6.3 Unique in their load data. Significantly higher than the Lyman book.
