Those of you living in State House District 33 may this informative.  I emailed Tracy Arakaki thanking him for supporting our 2A rights.  He replied with the following email:

Aloha  XXXXX,

Thank your for your support. I believe strongly in our constitution. Driving a
vehicle is a privilege BUT owning and possessing firearms is every citizens
RIGHT afforded to each of us by the constitution. I have been an avid shooter
all my adult life, I started to volunteer with the 4H shooting sports program in
my teens. Today I am an NRA certified RSO, I volunteer with the Hawaii Defense
Foundation monthly and I shoot very regularly. I will be getting my NRA pistol
instructor certification in a few weeks. I am a TV show producer and I have a
new show coming out called Shooting Sports Hawaii, you can follow us on Facebook
to find out when the show will start to air.

Once again thank you for your support.

some of us went to his fundraiser/kickoff
https://2ahawaii.com/index.php?topic=15027.0
ed case and will espero were there to support him
they both stated that it will take only one or two thousand votes to win the primary
and if you win the primary as a D, you are pretty much a shoo-in
so everyone needs to let anyone they know in the district who to support
it will only take a few votes to make a difference

Yes, I thanked him due to his A rating from the NRA.

I hope folks following this and similar threads understand from a strategic standpoint that they need to vote on the Democratic ticket in the primary election in order to shape the results for the general election.

I'd be interested in hearing comments on candidates for the US Dist 1 (Anderson, Chang, Espero, Kim, etc).  Too bad Takai's comments re: 2A are lame.  Seems like Kim, Chang and Espero are also anti-2A.  I'm not a single issue voter, but to me 2A ranks right up next to oxygen in importance.

Same here, also to squash that Schitz creep as well. Anyone that uses images of Obunga in TV spots must be eliminated forever.

Will need a shower in bleach afterward before I feel clean again though.

I can speak to Espero, who is my rep and I have voted for him, he seemed moderate enough and less of an evil.  During the sandyhook and other tragedies,  he attempted to cash in on and push through  knee jerk, ridiculous, and unthought out anti legislation.  He has lost my vote for all time.

i've posted a news video previously where espero is appearing outside the gun show
he has this look on his face as he scans around as he's talking about how people can just walk out of the gun show with a weapon
you can tell he's an anti

Link to the Voter Registration and Permanent Absentee Form for those members that haven't registered to vote.  Hopefully most have already.

No one is coming, it’s up to us.

Legislation should never be about depriving law abiding citizens of something, but rather taking those things away from criminals.

HRA will be putting out its grades very soon. We had a bit of a delay in checking some of the voting records....Mr. Arakaki will be getting an A for his survey responses and a B for his history (he doesn't have a voting record but his current general pro-2A activities speaks to the decision to give his that grade).

HRA released their candidate ratings. It took a while longer than anticipated because several candidates submitted their responses late and we had to do some checking on others records. The results are on the HRA website and their Facebook page. However, the HRA website seems to be having some problems loading documents, including the candidate ratings. I'm trying to get that fixed now....
