Ok, I think I need a "fill in"    . On the Outdoor Channel today there was a ZOMBIE episode on Shooting Gallery.. I need to ask the stupid question. Is there something I missed? Don't get me wrong, the whole "Shooting the Undead" thing is a cool and everything, but it seems to be bleeding into some kind of reality...    

I think it's just something fun to do, kinda like the DPMS Outbreak Omega.

I could be wrong, but the way I see it, the whole "zombie" thing is a practice substitute for when the SHTF and "real" Zombies start moving out of the densely-populated cities toward your little tiny cottage on your little tiny farmlet to steal your food, ammo, gasoline, and little tiny daughters.

They will be so numerous that it will seem like they are unkillable.

In other words, it's tactical practice with the word "zombies" as a euphemism for all those thousands millions of unprepared hungry and thirsty city dwellers... even if it's all on a subconscious level.

That's the way I see it.

Tell me I'm wrong.  Please.

You can't even set up a silhouette at Kokohead let alone a dummy.  Shoot I've been going there so long I was wondering if I could even set up a ground hog target.

Dumb mainlander (me):  Why not?  At first, I thought maybe the slightly higher firing angle would make the bullet go over the berm or something, but then you said something about not being able to set up a groundhog target either.

We will have to get some regular rules established, and then start lobbying for more practical changes.  Remember -- Kokohead Shooting Complex is OUR range.  We can get what we want, it just takes time and effort paired with a "not one inch" attitude.  Shielding from violence has just been ruled against the First Amendment, if they can't do it in video games, movies, etc -- it's probably likely they can not do it at the shooting range.

It is against the rules to set up 'human' targets at our range. 
Why?  no idea...

Ground hogs is ok, I have seen them many times.
I dont know if these are ok, but I've seen it set up...
