So I am planning a move to Hawaii next year from New York where I am now. I am beginner with firearms and don't actually own any yet. I will probably wait until I get there before I make my first purchase because I really need to reduce the amount of things I need to move there. However....if I can get a head start on some of the requirements to get a handgun license over there I'd like to do that. Since a safety course is mandatory...and my understanding is that an IHEA Hunter Education Course can satisfy that requirement, I am wondering if I can do a hunter education course HERE before I move and have it satisfy the requirement.
