Saturday is the practice day, which is the day to come out and practice with whatever rifle you have (30-06 and down).  Make sure you are zeroed at least to 100 yards, or everyone will be waiting on you to zero.  If you're not a member or military/DOD/veteran, then you will need a sponsor, which there are members here that will help.  Sunday is the CMP EIC match,  service rifle iron sights only  (regulation M1 Garand, AR15 20" barrel, M14/M1As) and you have to shoot the match course.  Saturday/Sunday will be a long day, and you are required to stay the entire time, registration at 7am and cleanup and end around 1pm or so.

Most of us are  NRA classified "expert," "master," or "high master" shooters and will be more than willing to give tips.

Believe me you don't earn an nra classification in registered tournaments without some blood sweat and tears involved. And the higher the classification the more intensity you have to have.

As a reminder, muzzlebrakes and compensators are prohibited from competition.

Shooters with the offending rifles will be squadded down wind and and at least 2 firing points away from competitors

So, is this Saturday a tourney? I was planning on attending the Saturday practice shoot with one of those "offending" rifles to get dope data.   I can use something else if that will not be allowed.

Sorry my bad, its an NRA regional match.  Can use service rifles, match rifles or any rifle matches, withi n range caliber restrictions.  Or like Teichi said put you off on the side with those evil rifles.
