So ISIS "plans to find and slaughter U.S. military personnel at their houses"... Should military members apply for a carry permit outlining this as their reason?

You all read my mind, was just thinking about this today.

I'm seriously considering applying for Hawaii CCW because of this crap.  I'm already hearing about a lot of scared shitless spouses.

Also thinking ahead of how to deal with a probable denial; call to local media, etc... Thoughts?

definitely worth a try, hope it really works! but they might argue the fact that they will come to your home anyways, so ccw might not really work seeing that if confrontation happens it'll be on your property. Ridiculous we should be able to get a ccw though.

(edit) Actually this would make a good argument seeing as if they follow you or set up an ambush etc... whatever the hell they do, definitely you have to be prepare anywhere. CCW sounds very reasonable, even though we shouldn't need to argue why we need a CCW.

Scary
Scenarios could also spill over into civilians as well
If you live next door or are in a soldiers house that is your family or friend, etc.

Good point, I also thought about the "home" versus public carry for counter-argument;

There are so many target rich, soft targets on the island that a real ISIS threat could take out a lot of military personnel relatively easy......think NEX.

I tend to blend ok in public( don't wear pro military shirts, vehicle is void of stickers, etc.) but we can't hide our fabulous haircuts, being a haole, etc. Not to mention military just act a certain way after a few years of service.

Strong chance I'm doing this.

Looks like the worthless piece of shit known as Mazie Hirono blocked a vote in the Senate to address Americans that join ISIS. Once again Demoncrats show me just how fucking crazy and sympathetic they are to Islamist scum.

yup definitely, especially when you already lay down your life for this country. but hey, at the end of the day if it comes down to it, its your life not theirs, you know the value of it is to yours and your family, they're not the ones that are in danger of being attacked, well they should have no right to stop you from protecting your own life, especially against a threat like isis. I mean it's ridiculous, it's human nature, survival instincts, we're programmed that way. I guess common sense really is rare nowadays.

Ah yes, claiming she was concerned that Constitutional procedure was not being followed!

As if those treasonous scum ever gave a shit about the Constitution before?  I am so glad the Obunga voters that no doubt were for lazy Mazie as well have decided to keep their heads down lately.

In the same way Al Quaida didn't have anything on us? Like killing over 2,000 Americans on September 11, 2001?

You know when you forget the past you are likely doomed to repeat it. Personally, I don't want to take that chance. I choose to remember and take their threats seriously.
SCIENCE THAT CAN’T BE QUESTIONED IS PROPAGANDA!!!

Bombing strikes begin over Syria

The U.S. Air Force and Navy, joined by several Arab allies, launched an intense bombing campaign in Syria on Monday night against multiple Islamic State targets – marking the United States’ first military intervention in Syria since the start of that country’s civil war.

Sources say the military operation includes F-18 and bomber flights, as well as Tomahawk missiles launched from the Red Sea and Persian Gulf. Officials say the coalition is targeting about 20 sites, including command-and-control centers, training camps and weapons depots.

U.S. officials told Fox News that several Arab countries – including Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates – were participating.

The operation was expected to last several hours, with the first explosions from Tomahawk missiles heard near Raqqa in northern Syria

US Aircraft include B-1 bombers, F-16s, F-18s and Predator drones, with F-18s flying missions off the USS George H.W. Bush in the Persian Gulf. Tomahawk missiles were fired from the destroyer USS Arleigh Burke in the Red Sea.

President Obama on Sept. 10 authorized U.S. airstrikes inside Syria as part of a broad campaign to root out the Islamic State militant group also known as ISIS and ISIL.

In a nod to his plans to go into Syria, Obama said then, “I have made it clear that we will hunt down terrorists who threaten our country, wherever they are. That means I will not hesitate to take action against ISIL in Syria, as well as Iraq.”

Until now, U.S. airstrikes have been limited to specific missions in northern Iraq.

Pentagon Press Secretary Rear Adm. John Kirby released a statement Monday night saying, "I can confirm that U.S. military and partner nation forces are undertaking military action against ISIL terrorists in Syria using a mix of fighter, bomber and Tomahawk Land Attack Missiles.

"Given that these operations are ongoing, we are not in a position to provide additional details at this time.  The decision to conduct theses strikes was made earlier today by the U.S. Central Command commander under authorization granted him by the commander in chief. "

You now, I am not sure what I think of this.  I have ZERO confidence in this administration to fight this threat; I think that this will be bad for our fighting services.  The democrats and administration has caused this problem to get so way out of control, and they have no real plan to defeat the enemy...   With no plan and no support the troops will be the ones to suffer, as well as us civilians who are depending on this "do nothing" administration to protect our borders and our populous, added to the fact that our state has a steadfast policy that prohibits a citizen from defending oneself against attack by means of weapons.  Absolute, CLUSTERF*CK, IMO.  Prayers for our troops and prayers for us all….

Thank you POTUS, and all these idiot liberals, that have made the world more deadly, more broke, and more idiotic.   And to think all those bush haters kept saying his policies killed innocent...   I'd bet the number of dead innocents during this POTUS watch far exceeds those of the previous admin...  No proof, just my opinion.
