what pistol/caliber/position (IWB/OWB/clock position)?

and i am wondering about people's feelings on carry position

Glock 19 in Raven Concealment holster at 3 o'clock.  I've trained a quite a bit with that arrangement and also with a Glock 17 instead of a Glock 19.  After a while, the holster does press a little on my sides, but not too bad. 

I have an Incog as well, but I haven't trained or otherwise used it much. I've worn the holster around the house and for a brief period in training sessions, but not nearly as much as with the Raven holster.  I can say that it's not very comfortable in the sitting position, at least for me.  I got the Incog version with the mag carrier incorporated into the holster and I'd like to try it without the mag carrier. 

One thing to be wary of when training with the Incog or any IWB holster is whether or not the holster completely covers the muzzle of the gun.  After just a short string of fire, the muzzle can be hot enough to give you a pretty good burn.

I would get a CZ 75D compact custom and carry it IWB at the 4 o'clock position in my Everday Holster.  This is a very comfortable holster and position for me.  This holster and position can easily conceals my full size 75B under a T-shirt and shorts.  I'd get the compact for a little less weighting size,  but all the goodness of the CZ.   

I have tried other positions such as appendix,  behind the back, cross draw, etc.   The current setup seems to work the best for me.

S&W .38 stubby (which I already have) in a pocket holster.

1. Tropical climate precludes jackets most of the time.
2. Overweight guys like me don't get along with anything around the waist. I envy skinny guys.
 
Here is my take on the question...
Gun...something similar to whatever is vogue for L.E. eg. Small sw or glock or sig.
Ammo...again, same idea. 9mm like hpd issue.
Holster should fit your body and normal dress style.
If you are slim and usually wear jeans or slacks, you can do anything.
If you're like me, chubby, you gotta get creative.
One of my all time fav rigs is the Blocker or Galco upside down shoulder rigs. You just have to wear a tshirt then conceal the rig with a photographer vest or even an unbuttoned sport shirt. Those rigs also hold 2 mags or speedloaders under the opposite armpit to balance you out....extremely comfortable.

My other fav carry technique is the fanny pack or man purse.  On scorching hot days like yesterday, you can walk around the mall with a tank top and board shorts  with your fanny pack and look absolutely normal. The only downside is that you have to be always aware of where the bag is. Understand that I am talking about bags made for that purpose, usually with a hidden compartment for your firearm, and heavier straps to support more weight.

I know a bunch of guys who live in states where they have terrible heat and humidity in the summer (Texas, Tennessee, etc) and they do have to make adjustments in the way they carry depending on season.  In places with high heat and humidity, that's where products like Kydex holsters seem to really shine. 

Intersting on the aspect of body shape.  I've been told by those who are thin that concealing a gun on a thin frame can actually be tougher than a, umm, rounder, framed person.  Because they are so thin, that any bumps around the waistline tends to stick out and be more obvious than someone with a rounder waistline.  At least that's what they contended.  Unfortunately (or fortunately, haha) I don't suffer from the condition of being very thin. . .

Ive never really thought about carrying concealed, but for around the house or with my gf family, since they are not happy about firearms, my idea was to use a vest like OG talks about with a revolver inside.  I guess it could be a regular outfit as well.

My S.S Wilson Pro in .45 ACP inside a Silent Thunder 2.0. I just used this setup in an IDPA match last week. Was way too hot and humid to use a vest, so I just had it under my slightly over sized t-shirt. Worked really well considering that I do not have a slim build. IMO it felt almost like an IWB holster. I kept it at just a bit back of my hip belt loop. Didn't print at all, but the draw was a slight bit slower than if I was using a vest to cover.

My friend on the mainland highly recommends and carries a pocket .38, but he's a bit on the large side.

I'll play, carried for years in VA;

 Glock G27 in a Comp Tac IWB holster at the 4 o'clock position. The Comp Tac was a hybrid leather and kydex holster that was very comfortable and barely imprinted at all. I wore this all the time with t shirts and no issues. Extra mag in the front pocket usually

In "dress" cloths, a Ruger LCP in a Recluse wallet holster. This holster had a trigger block and also held one extra mag. Zero imprint, fit in the back pocket and looked like a wallet from the rear.

I'm now interested in the INCOG and appendix carry, but not in a rush to visit that setup here in HI. The cargo pocket holster for the LCP would be a good setup too.
