Colt Pythons are only really expensive right now, they'll be OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive soon enough...
I've had the privelage of shooting a friend's Colt Anaconda. the 44 mag version, and it was a great shooter as well.
similar to the Python to me in the brief experience i had with it.
but surely the Python is much more well known.
but being a .357 addict, I wonder what revolver took the place of the Python as the best 357? (as far as still being in production)
probably the S&W 66 / 686, although not on the level of the Python.
or you could also argue the Ruger GP100. although not on the level of the Python, but comparable to the 66/686.
being a Ruger guy, and not so anal about performance, I like the GP100 over the 66/686.
recently more and more specialty models coming out in the GP100 platform
but i think for a .357 magnum, either the 66/686 or the GP100 can be considered a future classic.
