Pretty scathing comments from the public I've everywhere its reviewed. I really struggle to see what niche this gun fills. You could buy two WASR's for this and several thousands rounds of ammo.

The CMMG looks great, if it were a piston gun it would definitely be an easier sell

We (Brian and I) have worked out the bugs of the AR Conversion Mags for the 762x39.
We have told ASC and C-Products the problems with their mags and both haven't done anything about it. It is such a simple fix.
So this CMMG lower will limit you to what you can do with the lower in the future.

that's what i always say..

i don't know why manufacturers cater to the DI crowd so much.  I'm guessing it  might be because they're trying to save on weight???

Yeah, I saw the review.

I've been watching Hickok for a long time and honestly, ever since he got hooked up with buds gun shop, his reviews don't seem as honest or useful.

They're pretty much just advertisement now.

hickok is a lucky bastid.  Because he falls into the 'likable white grandpa' stereotype, he gets hooked up with all kinds of shit.   :-\

I think there are many reasons for his success on the Internet other than his appearance.

Not only is his YouTube channel one of the most informative firearms resources on the Internet, he's got the life experiences and skills to back up what he offers in his videos.

Plus, his channel has over 1.3 million subscribers and over 3 million views.  Not too shabby, considering how politically incorrect a gun-related YouTube channel is these days.  That number helps with getting his sponsors, which are sorely needed considering the cost of firearms and all the ammo he never seems to run out of!

Yeah, you can talk stereotype all day.  He's a likable man from Tennessee with an easy-going and polite attitude who obviously enjoys sharing his love of shooting.

How many here wouldn't do anything to have a shooting compound like he does right outside their backdoor?

I have watched quite a few of his reviews. Most are not detailed enough for my taste. But that does not mean they are not entertaining and fun to watch. I just would not base a buying decision on his review alone.

I have had mixed luck with two different complete CMMG uppers I purchased. The first one was a 9mm upper which functioned well but the chamber was cut incorrectly and allowed certain ammunition to not chamber fully causing the bulge at the base. Also, the bolt allowed the cartridge to be fired when not fully in battery. Which also caused the cases to bulge. I returned it to them and they would not admit any fault so I made them give me my money back. The second upper I could not be happier with. It is in 300 AAC Blackout and is super accurate.

I view Mr. Hickok as a backyard shooting, revolver guy, and overall gun guy
vids are primarily entertainment with some background and experience mixed in
I have learned some gun history from watching his vids.
but i see him as a S&W .44 magnum guy primarily
I'm a subscriber to his youtube channel   :shaka:
