Thanks Chris. Couldn't have done it without your help, you were the first one to jump in and always said,"What ever we needed." and to all the guys from HDF, macsak, lifer, Mr. dirtylickins, SpeedTek, Daniel from KGS, HRA, Audy, our certification instructors and sorry if I am forgetting anyone but a whole laundry list of folks from my former news colleagues too. Over '3' whole years of pre and post production and we are still constantly editing and shooting still.

I now have to put on my salesman cap and knock on doors as the airtime, like all the regular stations not cable have to be bought and paid for. Its not FREE. I hope we can get enough support to cover the airtime and closed captioning that is required. We won't make a dime from all the hundreds of hours of sweat equity but its ok. We got to meet a lot of kewl folks at the public and private ranges and it is worth the effort. Our goal from day one has always been to showcase our shooting sports community we all enjoy in a positive light. But thanks again to everyone and we hope we can cover as many folks and clubs as we can in our first season.

I would like to add as a side note, to get a local TV station to support a Hawaii shooting sports oriented show was beyond extremely difficult. This took an extraordinarily long time. Months and months and months of calls, emails, stalling, beating around the bush etc., etc., etc. as several local stations said flat out NO. It seems firearms brings out fears in many, especially here in Hawaii. Even the reluctance dealing with clubs because every time folks from the shooting sports community got involved with TV in the past, their participation on the subject of firearms always got turned around and made into a negative reflection on the shooting sports community. We have been in production to get this first season off the ground for OVER '3' years ( Nov. 2011 ). Our intent for our program Shooting Sports Hawaii from day one is and always will be to showcase the Hawaii shooting sports community in a positive light and to help achieve mainstream acceptance. So please folks, please support KFVE and all their programming as they were the only one willing to give a Hawaii Shooting Sports program any chance at all.

You need a sponsor for the closed captions since half the guys watching got hearing loss from gunshots or loud engines.

"Closed captioning is sponsored by xxxx gun shop. Offering a complete line of state of the art ear protection!"

That should be an easy sell.

Any truthful positive exposure to firearms and their users is a platform to push for more pro-2a legislation in the future.
