Defiantly won't find this firearm at any gun store.
It's the IWI Barak (lighting in Hebrew)

Magnum Research (MR) and Century (CAI) both imported these pistols. MR renamed it SP-21 and sold them new with plastic box.  Century imported surplus Israeli police service pistols , since they do not have the IDF crest or logo.

This pistol have neither The MR, CAI or Harrisburg PA. (IWI) markings, thus a small third importer must have brought these into the US without marking them accordingly.

The Barak is a later version of the Jericho 941. developed to use the Israeli style of  drawing the firearm with the big fat butt at the rear end of the slide.

MR imported new SP21 near 2005, sales sucked and were discontinued. about 400 -500 various calibers (9,40,45) were imported. CAI imported  a few hundred surplus 9mm pistol also. This pistol was imported by an unknown Importer.

Gary Cole of Cole's Distribution brought these into the country ; not to be confused with Roger Cope of Cope's Distribution.

Got nearly all the Israeli IDF small arms in my collection. Only the Tavor, Hezi, and Negev to go.

How does it compare to the Jericho?  Looks like compact frame.

It's still based on the CZ, Jerchico design, only with the decocker  and enlarged butt.

how can you trust anything named barak?

Its was made in Israel , not Kenya
