Why does this surprise anyone?

This pot smoking communist has already proven that golf is more important than Americans lives.

I gotta say this really isn't a big issue. I have no problem slamming the president for something bad he did but this really isn't a fair thing to lob onto him. He personally called the couple and apologized and the couple's wedding was relocated to another portion of the golf course that had a better view that they liked better. No biggie

It's not a big issue but it tells a lot of his character. He was invited to the wedding and sent regrets then hours later his staff says the have to relocate cause he's golfing. Instead of calling to apologize wouldn't it be easier for everyone if he just didn't golf? How is calling to apologizing trying to make it right when could have just cancelled his game? It's not like it was some important meeting for official business and he called to apologize for the inconvenience. If a person has it within their power to fix things and doesn't and and just pays lip service it tells me a lot about a person's character.

Exactly right. He could've re-scheduled or gone to another course. It's not like we're suffering from a shortage around here.

Bet he would've attended if it was a gay marriage.

I wonder if the golf course had any previous knowledge about the president being on island within that time frame.  Maybe they could of had black out dates.  Unless there like hotels and like to over book and just collect on the money.

So let me make sure I understand...

The couple moved the wedding to a nicer part of the course and got a personal call from the president at their wedding...

And you are bad mouthing him? They had a nicer more memorable wedding and they are not upset yet you all are acting like he ruined their big day. You all are more upset about it then the happy couple. Does that make sense? Because it certainly doesn't to me.

Who cares they had to move it. They got a nicer more memorable wedding because of it. Get over yourselves and this hate for the president.

Yes, the couple (who are in military) are not publicly upset that the commander in chief (their boss) moved their wedding. While I believe the military code of conduct doesn't apply to the president since he's not a commissioned officer, I'm pretty sure no one in the military wants to be the person that publicly show any disrespectful behavior in his or the media's presence.

How about a supporter of the process that elected our president. Whether I agree with his politics or voted for him is not the discussion. It's the blatant disrespect at every turn regardless how insignificant the subject. More Americans voted for him than didn't. That is the process we live in. Accept it or buy a private island where you determine who is in charge. Or go live in another country. But stop the blatant hate for no reason.

And a military member has every right to say we are upset that we had to move our wedding. Regardless of who it was for. So of they said they were not upset, they were not upset. And they got a better venue just a few feet away. What's the problem? Same course. Different place on it.

I take great exception to the characterization of "Blatant hate."

Since you think there is "no reason" for anyone to dislike Obama, I guess you don't have a problem with

Obama's Executive Orders to bypass Congress,
his actions being ruled several times by the Supreme Court as Unconstitutional,
speaking out of turn on the arrest or deaths of Blacks by Whites before all the facts are reported - painting the event as racially motivated when there is no evidence of that,
trading Taliban terrorists and $5 billion for a US Army deserter,
lying to America about Obamacare,
lying to America about Benghazi,
lying to America about Fast & Furious,
covering up the IRS targeting Conservative political groups,
causing this year's massive influx of illegals to the US in anticipation of amnesty which will overwhelm our government resources (that equates to more taxes and fewer services per person),
etc.,
etc.,
etc.

It's not HATE.  It's called distrust.  He has no integrity, no competence, and no desire when it comes to living up to his oath of office.

He is supposed to support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America.  Instead, he is trying to fulfill his promise to fundamentally transform the United States.

And I would be careful about saying "More Americans voted for him than didn't," when we all know that a significant number voted for his skin color exclusive of any kind of experience or job performance he has.

I'd be very interested to know what YOU like about Obama.  Maybe a PM or separate thread will be appropriate.

Assigning anyone's differing opinion to "hate" is a Liberal's debate tactic.  Avoid the specifics -- just call everyone who thinks differently "haters."  Very typical!!

1. No one is saying that a military member has no right to say when they are upset. Just like everyone has a right to call their boss stupid doesn't mean you want to publicly do it.
2. What does being critical of person's character have to do with supporting the electoral process? And who care's if more American's voted for him?  His character has nothing to do with the political process.
3. Hate is a strong word. I personally don't like to use it. Being critical of a person is not hate. There is plenty of reasons to dislike and distrust this President as Macsak points out.

You forgot running up more national debt than all previous administrations combined, and the highest percentage of citizens on foodstamps.

I take exception to "our" as well, since there is abundant evidence the last election was stolen, and the first badly skewed by behind the scenes manipulation of the economy.

I consider him a fraud and usurper.

You can't possibly believe it's okay to come on here, play the "you're a bunch of Obama haters for no reason" card, then try to back peddle with /I was just talking about this obscure little incident, not Obama in general/.

No, sir, you were NOT just talking about this incident.  When you went off on how you trust the electoral process that elected him and how most Americans voted for him, you strayed WAY beyond the boundaries of this wedding thing.

If you want to state your personal opinions, fine, but don't back track with "I didn't say I support him" after you figure out your comments are more incendiary than you can handle.

And snide little phrases like "Get over it" and "Let it go" don't help.  They reflect a demeaning and condescending attitude that most of us here don't appreciate at all.

Maybe you don't see anything wrong with the situation caused by the wedding.  That's fine.  Telling everyone else that our opinions are wrong without the spine or supporting information to back yourself up is comical!

Not everyone here holds the same opinions on everything.  But at least we have the sense not to toss out inflammatory remarks and then try to rescind them ...

Well, maybe a couple of trolls do that, but not the majority of us!

Amazing you speak for all. I never back tracked on my opinion. I said from the start that this is no reason to get your panties in a bunch. Grow up. There is no "supporting info" needed to show that this is not worth the energy you are willing to assert to discredit the President of the United States. Again, get over it.
