Show some respect for your elected official

Assuming he knew and his staff didn't handle it. Do you really think he personally reads every letter addressed to him? A staffer allowed this to happen and as soon as he knew he apologized. If the wedding party got a better venue and are not upset, why are all of you? Get over it. They have. Find something that actually matters to complain about. Or are you just complaining because it's Obama?

That seems to be the theme of his administration. Incompetent staff to take the fall for him so he doesn't look stupid and wash his hands of anything and not take responsibility for it.

Respect is earned and not automatic.  Even though his position deems a need for a certain respect, one can only go so far.  He has not shown one thing, in my eyes, as a person to respect.  If I seen him coming to a place that I am at, I would personally walk out.  He shows absolutely no respect for the hard working citizens of this country, its military, which he constantly throws under the bus, the laws this country is founded on, and moral principal itself.   I personally think this dude is the most racist and hateful person to lead this country since the civil war tore it apart because of slavery.  I think he is trying to do the same.  He and his cohorts have taken this country back in time, like a good democrat that he is, a true racist and bigot.

 I don't hate the dude as a human, but I sure do not respect him, as a leader, or his character.

Fast and Furious, IRS targeting political opponents, acquiring phone records of AP reporters, Benghazi, The ACA (deceptions per Jonathan Gruber) (Obama, at least 32 time in public "If you like your doctor/indurance plan, you can keep your doctor/insurance plan"... you think he didn't know he was lying?), spying/intrusion on reporter Sheryl Atkisson's computer, NSA surveillance of virtually all U.S. citizens, Solyndra, Operation Chokepoint, etc. Do you really think he doesn't know anything about any of these issues until a staffer tells him after it becomes public? Once he does find out, he apologizes claims executive privilege for the vast majority of the documents (re Fast and Furious see Jucidical Watch FOIA requests and subsequent lawsuits after Obama failed to comply, and still hasn't with the court order). Imagine how little we'd know about any of these events were this not "the most transparent administration in history".

It's not a big issue but it tells a lot of his character. He was invited to the wedding and sent regrets then hours later his staff says the have to relocate cause he's golfing. Instead of calling to apologize wouldn't it be easier for everyone if he just didn't golf? How is calling to apologizing trying to make it right when could have just cancelled his game? It's not like it was some important meeting for official business and he called to apologize for the inconvenience. If a person has it within their power to fix things and doesn't and and just pays lip service it tells me a lot about a person's character.

There isn't a whole lot of detail about what the wedding included so it might have been relocating 8 people, not necessarily relocating 200 guests, the chairs, gazebo etc etc. I am not going to pretend I know what goes into planning a president's schedule though so I hesitate to monday morning quarterback the whole situation. Now if the couple had protested insisting that they get the original spot or that the move caused loads of people to miss the wedding then yes I could see reason to complain. But the couple seemed pleased with the new location so I don't consider it an issue, especially not one worth calling the president a POS over. (I know it wasn't you who said POS)

I believe the OP used the term POS to refer to POTUS independent of this particular incident, and was citing this particular incident ("golf trumps wedding") as another example of why he might deserve that appellation. Several of us in the above thread have provided lists of events and actions besides the "wedding event" that likely warrant some kind of attribution other than "lightworker" and "smartest man on the planet", say, like, for instance "criminal".
