Most of us here support CCW but how many here currently possess a concealed carry license?

I do, Utah.

Georgia license here.

Never worried about it in Montana.  Open carry legal with no permit, and purses, backpacks, cars, etc don't count as concealed carry.  Additionally, there's about six thousand activities you can be partaking in which allow you carry a concealed weapon with no permit: "This prohibition on concealed carry [without a permit] does not apply to peace officers, a person who is outside the official boundaries of a city or town or the confines of a logging, lumbering, mining or railroad camp or who is lawfully engaged in hunting, fishing, trapping, camping, hiking, backpacking, farming, ranching or other outdoor activity in which weapons are often carried for recreation or protection, or the carrying of arms on one's own premises or at one's home or place of business"    I never even realized that laws like Hawaii's existed until I got here.  Now I'm a saaad panda.

A few...   Utah, Florida, Arizona, Nevada, New Hampshire, Virginia...

What can I say???   Some folks collect stamps....   I'm collecting CCW permits. 

Sure would like to be able to add Hawaii to the collection one day.

Never needed one.  My work badge and creds was good in all 50 states and US territories and whenever DoS granted it.  My retired badge still affords the same.

So i guess I don't have a CCW like you fine gentlemen do.

Maybe you could enlighten us as to your background and your prior occupation so that we could all understand what you are saying above?

I have a Colorado CCW... carried since I was old enough to own and conceal... came from my dad, I guess. Cannot believe Hawaii does not support CCW!

I only have one active concealed carry license now but I will try to get more when I start traveling again.

I also aspire to be the first civilian to acquire a Hawaii CCW license.

Colorado, 7-8 years, now, I forget.

Was going to get a Utah non-resident one in case I lost my wallet or something, but about three years ago CO stopped honoring out-of-state nonresident licenses.

Ticked me off no end.

We're working on a no-permit-required law, but I don't see that passing the Legislature soon, and if it does, our current big-city, toe-the-party-line-so-he-can-be-supported-by-the-party-machine-when-he-goes-for-higher-office Governor Hickenlooper will undoubtedly veto it.

Yeah, I was tempted to say Chickenlooper, but I'm sure he heard that enough in grade school.

I have hopes for Colorado... not sure about Hawaii yet. There is a lot of energy but it is being sat upon by a whole lotta government wanting local residents to rely on HPD.  We all know how that goes.

Well, I just threw that in there out of frustration.  Actually, I'm real sensitive about sticking my big mainlander nose into Hawaiian's business and try to keep my posts general and technical or relevant to Hawaii.  I offer my apologies and hope this doesn't drift into a Colorado thread.  But it is representative of how Big-City Politicos and their heavy-voting power bases tend to dominate the rest of the state... true probably of Hawaii also.

Me shut up now:  CCW 7-8 years.  Unconscious of carrying a gun all the time.  Like putting on your shoes.  You aren't aware, every minute of your day, that you're wearing shoes, are  you?
