Bluewater Hunters is a small shop that primarily dealt with spearfishing and recently started getting more active selling rifles and handguns.  It was nice to have another shop here.

Sounds like his security was not all that great, or someone knew someting.  Still, stealing 17 guns oandthen what?  What is the thief going to do with them?  Selling them on this island with small population is a problem.  One of them will surface soon enough and he is cooked.

Thanks for sharing. It's tragic I hope that they find the perps and the weapons. The comments on that story make me sick.

My guess is he will sell them to anyone who wants a pistol that can't be traced back to them via receipts and registration.  As long as there are no fingerprints or DNA on the gun, it can be left at a scene without fear of tying you to the crime.

Also, there is that segment of the public that can't legally buy a gun.  Not just in Hawaii, either.  If you can smuggle an unregistered weapon into certain foreign locations, the price it demands can be a pretty penny (assuming you aren't caught smuggling it in!!).

So, yeah .... there's a definite market out there!

Yeah, that clown is one of the reliably rabid anti-2ndAmendment clowns that posts to West Hawaii Toady, which is a leftist paper to begin with.  Their "editorial" are all regurgitations from the Wash. Post poofters.

Did anyone notice if Obama played golf on the Big Island, or if anyone from there visited the President on Oahu during his vacation?

I'm wondering if the Mexican Drug Cartels need more pistols this time ...

An expanded vocabulary is the hallmark of an educated mind?

Thought some of the things I have had to look up have been not so enriching.

My mind is just ripe/well pickled, not so educated.
