Amazing brazen heist in broad daylight at a busy intersection.

Wow.  Sounds kinda weird for a planned heist.

Also sounds kinda weird for an unplanned heist.

Especially since they came from two vehicles back --did I read that right?

Years ago, a friend of mine was signaling for a left turn at a light and a bicyclist pulled up, grabbed his watch, and made off in the opposite direction, so I guess weird heists can occur.

The weirdness kind of makes me want to look for other circumstances.  Like, did she plan it herself to collect insurance on the generators or something?

???

I do believe that the radical and crazy notion that the Founders meant what they said, is gradually soaking through the judicial system.

I wonder if this happened going or leaving the range and you had a pistol (transported unloaded per law) could you  take it out load it up and use it to stop thugs from stealing your stuff in your own vehicle.

Nope. You will get arrested and there would be no HOPE for you.

That's what I thought which is kind of sad since they would be stealing guns.

I didn't know you could look up the owner of a registered vehicle.

On Facebook under "stolen stuff hawaii", people were saying that black truck was stolen and the license plates were changed.  Possibly stolen from Schofield.  Any truth to that?

The article says she was at the head of the line.  My translation is first car at the light.  Do you know why she didn't or wasn't able to follow the vehicle at a safe distance until police could arrive?

To be honest, I am not surprised.  A friend of mine who has a fishing boat and usually fishes out of the north shore.  He once fished out of Waianae.  It was a long day out in the ocean, so he left his poles and other gear on the boat after loading it on the trailer.  On his way home around 8 pm, a car pulled along side and waved him to pull over.  He was kind of hesitant to do so, but did.  The 2 female passengers in the car told him at the last few stop lights they noticed a truck following him while someone was on the boat.  At each of the red lights, the guy on the boat would hand off items to the guys from the truck following.  They made off with roughly 5 fishing poles with gold reels, boxes of lures, and other items.  The ladies gave my friend the plate number of the truck.  My friend followed up with the cops, the plates were stolen from another car.  Now my friend doesn't get complacent with rushing to get home.  He puts items away in his truck rather than leaving it on the boat.

People used to fly fish flags of what they caught before days, and  MFers would steal the fish from your boat at stop lights.....  F'en sickening!

Yup, I remember those days.  Now days, most, like my friend, will transfer all of his fish to the large coolers in the truck bed.

Speaking of how ballzy some guys are when it comes to fishermen, reminds me of a fish and pole jacking right at the pier.  Some have the ballz, to threaten fishermen unloading their days work at the pier.  They usually demand the poles and the fish at knife point.  Funny how when the gaff comes out and a few choice words are spoken, these fish and pole jackers think about the possible damage one could be done with a gaff.  Then they just leave rather than have the interesting story to go with a funky scar.

That was the first question I asked. She was physically shaken. The first few attempts to take pictures were blurred because her hands were shaking. 3 of them and only her. She was scared. Unable to think straight.  She wishes she had done more.

Sorry to hear.  I hope she is ok.  She did the best she could under the circumstances.

Apparently, they caught the guy who stole the generators, truck, and moped, all separate thefts.
