I guess America and all Americans are now responsible for Hawaiians getting fat?

Actually, its the new America...where everything is not your fault but someone else's. So in actuality, the Hawaiians have embraced what is like being American!  >:D

I wish they would figure something out so we can get a casino going out there!  Party all night drinking and gambling, rest / recover on the beach during the day... wtf can be better than that?!

I would love that, but the pro-sovereignty people want to go back to the days where we would we would have to be farmers and fisherman and grow our own food.

Nah, just laying out possible ground work for rounding up  those troublesome ones that might resist whatever the "pen and phone" might come up with.

Watch them, and watch closely, and remember those that voted to put them in power.

"However, it is still comforting to know that China has not attacked anyone at least in the last 100 years.  "

Invasion of Tibet (1950)
Sino-Indian War (1962)
Sino-Vietnamese War (1979)

I got those three just from memory.  China would not be stupid enough to openly invade another country right now - I don't think they'd even do that with Taiwan (for now).  They would "invade" the way the Russians are trying to invade Eastern Europe - by out-populating the locals through emigration and out-voting/out-influencing them...  it was already mentioned in this thread they're buying property here.

As for the different sovereignty groups - think of all the war and strife in southern Africa.  As soon as they got rid of colonial rule under the Europeans, they turned on each other with equivalent violence in the name of power.  In fact, look anywhere where tribes, family and/or religion are more highly regarded than country.

I have a feeling there are some people on the board here who would consider taking Chinese support if the taxes ever got too high and opportunities dried up. Empire only works as long as the sugar daddy keeps pumping out sugar and convenient delusions of American exceptionalism remain convenient.

America is still exceptional.  Fuck China, and I would never submit to communism. Problem with America is the Liberal Democrats have FUBARed everything to where Americans forgot that in America you are free to WORK for a better life.  They have made it so people confuse free, freedom, with 'free stuff'.

just thought id share this video as it was recent, normally id be pissed off that they took off the american flag as my family and friends served for that flag, however they did it respectfully (as in didn't toss it on the ground) and folded it as well as hanged it up on another pole, (although some of you will see the removal of the flag disrespectful no matter what) they have every right to voice their opinion, i'm trying to be neutral as much as possible and try to see where they're coming from but overall can't agree with them

When it comes down to it, are they willing to put their lives on the line for their flag?

I wouldn't count on those cowards to stand up for anything from the comfort and safety of an established US educational institution. As an alumni of UH and service member, I'm ashamed we have these narrow minded fools doing such an act without resistance. They'd sellout as soon as they see the shit hit the fan. Fuck them. None of them know what it was like to live under the Hawaiian Kingdom. Again another delusional fantasy of an Eden they wish to bring to life. How Hawaiian is a last name like "Tamashiro"?
The flag they put back up is still the flag of the 50th state of the USA! It's not the flag of the "Hawaiian Kingdom" is it?
So they chose to take down the American flag from a school - soft target isn't it? Why don't they march their asses to the real symbolism of American Imperialism such as a military base and take down Old Glory?  :grrr:

The Rasta-paddle flag is definitely better. At least it actually has something to do with Hawaii.

Yes it does - when it became the 50th state of the United States of America
