The US response.  No mention of the victims being targeted because of their Christian faith.  I'm shocked they didn't call this another random killing like Obama characterized the Jews in the French deli murdered by a Muslim.

Egypt says it bombed ISIS targets in Libya after killings of Christians
 (CNN)The Egyptian military said Monday it has bombed ISIS targets in Libya after the militant group released a video that appeared to show the mass beheadings of Coptic Christians.

"The airstrikes hit their targets accurately and our eagles returned to their bases safely," a statement reported on Egyptian state television said.

As much as I despise the actions of ISIL and am not a fan of our POTUS, I think the POTUS is making the right choice of condemning it without making this an issue about "Christians vs Muslims".

Why?  ISIL is baiting the West to calling this a religious war and make the Muslim countries unite against the West.

At the moment, the Muslim allies of the US are condemning the actions of ISIL and are fighting it internally.

The West can avoid the terminology of Muslim vs Christian, Muslim vs Jews, Muslim vs infidel, Muslim vs other Muslims all they want.  We don't get to define the conflict .... ISIS does!  When these animals are making videos of their beheading people for religious beliefs, the label is theirs to decide.  Quibbling over these kinds of details is over-thinking it. 

The threat is real.  ISIS is identifying the people they are targeting and killing.  We argue amongst ourselves over what we should call this "issue", and meanwhile more blood is spilled in the name of Allah.

Priorities are important.
