good first aid kit

Anyone know where I can get a really good first aid kit, not talking about the johnson& johnson ones, looking at the ones that I could use for emergency for car accidents, shtf, etc, I ride a motorcycle so maybe one I can have in my tunk of my seat

The motorcycle seat is going to be the limiting factor.  Try looking here.  I have one of the larger first responder kits at home that has almost anything most people would need in a SHTF scenario.

 :thumbsup:thanks, I forgot I had a Adventure Medical Kits 2.0 on my bug out bag, may just use that in my bike, but still lookin at a dedicated one

a lot of people at hdf range days carry some variation of an IFAK (individual first aid kit)

within city limits there isn't a real need for a first aid kit.  So far in the current modern world, I've had no use for the kit. But it's just me.



I have a full combat trauma/ surgery kit, but never had a use for it. Since I got the kit I've  traveled in a ambulance more times then even opened my kit.
If you really need a kit, put one together per your needs and situations.

besides the basic bandages and gauze in my kit, I have blood clot powder, artificial skin, burn oniment, saline solution, IV's, chest tubes, airway openers, setheascope and cuffs, full surgery kit ,and a few medications I can't mention in public , etc....

depending  on the motorcycle type you can fab up a pvc storage tube,


if you field strip all your medical equip you can food saver bag it and shrink and water proof it in one step

Theoretically

Opa or NPAs don't make my car kits, a decent pocket mask should cover airway interventions for the first responder level

A manual suction should be added to the kit next....

  then the worst case airway adjuncts like combitubes/ king Lt/ et tubes/  which should always be paired with a bvm (or at least available)...

Airway compromise can also happen through anaphylaxis....and probably more common then trauma related I would probably get benadryl and epi-pens/  epi before  high level airway adjuncts..

I got a first responder fold-out bag from Costco a while back and have been using the stuff out of it and replacing whatever I take with something better. It really sucks taking out a kit only to find things are all dried up and crusty, or just not as useful as they should be. Plus cracking it open helps me remember where stuff is so I won't be all searching around when seconds count. It really helped a couple months back when I cut my foot, blood was squirting everywhere, and I was starting to feel dizzy.

Problem with keeping first aid kits in cars and motorcycles is the heat can make them expire faster.  On a sunny day the car can reach 130+ degrees, probably still toasty under a motorcycle seat.  Make sure to check your first aid kit periodically.
