Firearms engineering job?
« on: March 04, 2015, 07:10:52 AM »
I just recently bought a scar 17, and absolutely love it, and I've always loved firearms so lately I've been wondering what I need to do for school and what else I would need to do in order to actually engineer things like the scar and other modern firearms. I think it'd be a very rewarding career and would probably pay better than being a heavy equipment mechanic (that's my mos) on the outside of the gate. If anybody has any pointers on how to become a firearms engineer I'm all ears!!! :shaka:

I sure as hell don't need a permit to choose my religion, so why the hell do I need a permit to acquire a firearm?

In terms of a formal college degree, mechanical engineering. In contrast, Ronnie Barrett and Kalashnikov had no formal training. If I remember, Kalashnikov was an armor officer?  and the M107 was born out of a garage.
