Hk/glock military discount
« on: April 06, 2015, 02:40:31 PM »
Does anybody here happen to know if hk offers a military discount? And what about glock? I know they have the blue label program but how does that work? Do I just show the gunshop my military I.d? If hk offers the military discount how do I take advantage of it? Just trying to save a couple hundred bucks if I can!! Thanks in advance for the info!
I sure as hell don't need a permit to choose my religion, so why the hell do I need a permit to acquire a firearm?

Military qualifies for Glock blue label program.  Yes let the gun shop know you are military and have your ID available.  There is a very short form from Glock and thats it.

Looked at Glock's website.  It appears that there aren't any dealers in Hawaii that participate in the Blue Label program, but you can order directly from Glock (with the associated FFL transfer administrivia).

Just FYI, Sig Sauer has a military/LE discount program as well, and it looks like Security Equipment Corp. is a participating dealer... http://www.sigsauer.com/LawEnforcement/Default.aspx

We have blue label glocks ($100 less than civ price on average) and we are also the HK Military/LE IOP program admin (Individual Officer Program)

Only problem with HK program is you have to come in and order and pay for the gun.  We send the paperwork with your info into HK and they process the order and send us a gun next time available.  Good news, most come with extra mag and real nite sights no up charge, bad news, there is no guarantee of ETA.  sometimes 30-60 days.  longest one we've seen 7 months

Yeah the hk program sounds like it would take to much time away, I have to take leave to register my out of state scar, and apply for my pistol permit and pick it up, I don't really want to wait God knows how long for the hk to show up and have to take even more leave. I want to be able to walk into the store, and pick up a pistol, go register it, and take it home. So even though I'd prefer the hk I think I'm probably gonna go with a gen 4 g19. What's the blue label price of those at yalls shop? And thanks to everybody for the informative replies, I appreciate that. I think I'm gonna compile a list of companies that do offer military discounts and post a thread up about it.

Gen 4 Glock 19.

Excellent choice.

Well I'm hoping its a good choice. Glocks are very reliable from what I've heard, and my hand fits them well and I'm hoping the gen 4's are even better. I might get the glock 21 gen 4 instead, just because out here we can only have ten round mags. If you can only have ten rounds anyway might as well have the most lethal rounds available. But my hands are average sized sized so I will probably stick with the glock 19
