The craziest thing happened at Koauka Lp. behind Palimomi ... About 3:30pm this afternoon I drove into the driveway of my last job at 98-450 Koauka Lp..... An 87 Monte Carlo was stalled halfway in the driveway... I pulled into the parking lot and took a stall...

Then all I heard was a someone yelling "GET OUTTA THE CAR!!" I turn and see a Police Officer pointing a PISTOL while walking towards the Monte Carlo... From the back of the Monte I see another Police Officer walking up to the Monte with what seemed to be an M4!!

They tell him to get on the ground... Immediately about 8 other Police cars come racing up and out come all of them with SHOTGUN's and PISTOL's!!!! This is the craziest part of this whole thing... Someone called HPD saying they heard gun shots being fired!!

 Apparently right before I pulled up, his Monte Carlo was "BACK FIRING!" Really Loudly! He was a mechanic and was test driving it after working on it....... I guess it still needs fixing.....

I never seen anything like that in my life... I was the only van parked in front of the scene... I thought I was gonna have to dodge bullet's!!

Wait until the carry law gets changed...this will happen all the time (aka Man with a Gun MWAG).

That is pretty crazy. Probably not something you'll soon forget. I wonder how they traced it to the Monte Carlo AND still thought he was firing a gun.

Wait until the carry law gets changed...this will happen all the time (aka Man with a Gun MWAG).

MWAG stories are the reason I'd much rather carry concealed than open carry.  If I had a permit that allowed me to do either, I'd almost never open carry, except rare occassions, like on the way to or from the range.  Going about my daily business, I don't have time to plan for a trip to Walgreens to turn into a two hour dog-and-pony show with the local PD.

Two hour dog and pony shows will make you more money per hour then you will have ever earned in your life.

Is that what all the commotion was about.  I was at Pali Momi.  The guy had been driving up and down koauka st and moanalua rd through the shopping center for at least 30 minutes before that. I was out on the sidewalk for a bunch of those passes.  Car was running so rich he had to keep revving it to keep it running. Wouldn't idle and all that revving only got it to load up worse and backfire in 2 and 3 "round bursts" 

If they were responding to same faded black monte carlo with super loud exhaust that I saw.
