Caught On Tape: Arizona Police Cruiser Runs Over Suspect At 50 mph

Quote
the latest grotesque act caught on dashcam is the following video taken on February 19 showing a police cruiser slamming into an
alleged crime suspect, Mario Valencia, holding a gun (however not aiming it at anyone and certainly not the police) at a speed of
about 50 mph from behind, in what was clearly a move intended to kill the suspect.

Miraculously, the suspect survived. Ironically, the Police in Marana, Arizona, where the dashcam video was taken, claim that they
saved the suspect's life. His lawyer, understandably, strongly disagrees.

In case the irony flew right past you ... a guy named MARIO was run over by a SPEEDING CAR!

Pretty sure those cars are equipped with PA systems. And im pretty sure the suspect was given verbal commands to drop the weapon.... i wonder why he didnt. Good riddance.

A) you obviously didnt watch the video
B) that was reckless as hell and no excuse to do that.
C) he's not dead
D) people like you are why people think gun owners are psychopaths.

Mario was not ran over with police car.  Mario was hit and flipped in the air a few times.

Makes perfect sense. Lets see, there is a guy with a long gun... I'll just gun the cruiser and take him out. Never mind the house right behind him, that tree should bring me to a controlled stop. If the officer did that on purpose, he/she shouldn't be behind the wheel of any car ever again.

Damned if you do...damned if you don't.
The perp stole a rifle, ammo and was shooting it in the public street.
Police officer is probably armed with a pistol.
Perp has longer range with the 30-30.
If the police officer took a shot, - he is under greater scrutiny if he misses. The perp - nope.
I think police cruiser against a suspect armed with a 30/30 was on par.

A) How did you come to the conclusion that i didnt watch the video?
 B) ramming the suspect avoided shots being fired which in my humble opinion is a good trade off with less potential for collateral damage. There also was potential for a standoff situation which was avoided thanks to the officers quick thinking and violence of action. Did you know he stole the gun from a store? Hmmm... why in the world would somebody steal a gun and walk around with it...
C) I never said he died?  ??? ??? Lol
D) what in the world does this have to do with the perception ignorant people have of gun owners. You are very quick to judge. Keep your ignorance to yourself. :shaka:

Although I am not 100% against using  the car as a weapon, I think the reckless way in which he plowed through him and the wall is pretty dangerous.  The officer had 0 idea of what was on the other side of that wall.  And what happens when he misses? Luckily he stop the guy but what if he sees the cruiser and jumps behind the truck to his left. Then what? I think it was reckless. Just my opinion.

Here's my thought... the suspect was walking down the street actually firing the gun... hope you all saw that. Refused to stop and drop the firearm the cop car following him is probably PA him to comply. The suspect  Also threatened to shoot himself as well. In all honesty I'm thinking from the stand point from the officer if I stop my car and get my gun out its going to be a firefight for sure and most likely the suspect walking would have the advantage of firing first.... ending in someone dying which could  be the officer first before the suspect, unless he surrenders immediately which he had no intention of doing. if I was the cop driving and saw my opportunity to avoid me getting shot and ending with a    "W" for me to go home. Bumper it is for the mental crazy thief shooting a stolen firearm with blatant disregard. could have been in YOUR neighborhood and in front of YOUR house who doesn't value you or your family lives let alone his he would've gotten banged from me after the first shot fired. Not exactly the same circumstances but close enough if someone had used their car to stop it alot sooner the "Toby Stengel"  H1 shooting spree. Well JMHO. see you all at the range aloha
