I hope to own both someday. They are both available to purchase so just for fun, if you feel the same way, which would you buy first?
I would go for the Python, I like the classic revolvers.

Python because they will only get harder to find and increase in value. Ed Brown is still making 1911's.

Lock down the Python first.  I'm kinda irritated that Walking Dead uses a Python, like they weren't expensive enough without a bunch of nerds driving up the price trying to buy them :o

I just bought two S & W .44's for WAY less than the price of one Python.  BTW, AMC is running the Dirty Harry marathon today--thanks!

I'd buy a Colt 1911 (or three) before I'd buy an Ed Brown.

But, to stick to the question--I'd buy the Python long before an EB.

for fun, the EB1911 cuz you can shoot it.  then again I already have a Python ;) and a bunch of 1911 mags :D

fire the Python and it's value goes down with each shot?  it's not really the best combat revolver to begin with?

Lots of Pythons on Gun Broker, I mostly look at the ones that have multiple bids. What would your preference be; blue, nickel, stainless, NIB, shooter, etc....

Mostly looking at Blued  4" (blame mauidog  :)) and a shooter... because they are cheaper and I wouldn't mind putting some rounds through it occasionally.
