Less hysterical and more logical from a "problem identification" perspective.

Where they lost it was the proposed solutions.  Locking up the firearm and ammo in separate locations used to be the recommendation when people didn't own safes.  Lock the gun in a desk drawer and the ammo in a file drawer.  Those places were simple for kids to open.  Safes are more secure as long as parents don't keep the combo written on a sticky note under the writing pad on the desk!

I think they have learned trying to push their gun banning agenda really doesn't make sense to people.  Especially when their ads were so full of obvious errors and lies.

The video gives a valid list of concerns, but the suggestions for making the kids safer ignore being able to access a loaded gun in an emergency.

I think the MDA people have been reading the comments NRA members left on their ad campaigns!

In the "good ol' days of my youth,  firearms weren't  thought of for self defense purposes so loaded fire arms were never immediately available but we all knew where the guns and ammo were and they weren't locked up.
We were  brought up with our "elders"   :worship: TEACHING us about firearm safety and never thought about handling a firearm unless we were going out to hunt.
Personally, I would have locked the gun in the safe, not the mag.
