Why did the shooter leave the scene though?
"The rifle is a weapon. Let there be no mistake about that. It is a tool of power, and thus dependent completely upon the moral stature of its user. It is equally useful in securing meat for the table, destroying group enemies on the battlefield, and resisting tyranny. In fact, it is the only means of resisting tyranny, since a citizenry armed with rifles simply cannot be tyrannized."

Probably because there were three guys trying to carjack him.
Your number one Option for Personal Security is a lifelong commitment to avoidance, deterrence, and de-escalation.

Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty.

But according to the article he just left and made no effort to contact the police, which is why they're looking for him.... it's hinky.

Felon with a gun?

Unregistered gun?

Concealed gun without a permit?

Driver/passenger in control of a loaded gun in vehicle?

Illegal capacity magazines?

Not transporting  between home and a legal destination?

Too young to own a handgun?

Stolen gun?

Gun was used in a crime prior to this shooting?

Shooter was white?    Edited:  Picture of the Person of Interest is not exactly Caucasian, so this is ruled out!

Shooter was transporting drugs or other illegal cargo?

Plenty of possibilities.  Not much to go on.

That's what I'm thinking.
