I remember seeing a roman candle jam up and explode like a big bomb. Lucky for us it was tied to a fence and not one that my uncle had been firing from his hand a few moments earlier. After that I wasn't too keen on roman candle fights with the ones that pop.

I don't get it. So he's pretending to be dead? That's stupid.

This incident reminds of an accident that happened to a Punahou grad  years ago. He was the son of a well-known Honolulu dentist who went to Barcelona Spain to watch the Olympics. During the festivities, he leaned over the pipe an unexploded festival fireworks ball and was instantly killed when it ignited sending the ball right through his head. There was nothing left of his head.

Something like looking at the muzzle end of a 12 ga.   when someone is aiming it.
