Dad feels cold easily so when he does he goes back in the SUV.  Big ones always comes out later so he misses his chances.  This one came out just before 7pm.  He says he don't mind 'cause he shot plenty hogs in his life.  He just loves being out there.  We go every week.  Neva' missed a week yet this year.  :shaka:

Awesome stuff Bradda Gunner!  My Pop's passed couple years ago and I wish I still had him to share the hunts together we used to do.  We have hunted many types of game all over the world including Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Europe and Mainland USA but our favorite always was and always will be Boars.  Well warthog's with dog and knife in Africa was pretty awesome LOL!!!  Congrats too you and your Dad enjoy those moments as im sure you do.  Wishing you and your Dad many more hunts together...Aloha!!!

Thanks 808Hunta... Hunted with my uncles & dad back in the 70s, left for the USAF '79-'85, back home and continued hunting for '85-'87.  Then I went into a long hiatus and never hunted until 2012.  My mom passed away in 2012 and I thought that I should spend more time with dad (81 yo now).  Dad loves to hunt but had no one to go with now but since 2012  we've been going out "blocking trail" usually every Friday.  It's a funny sight to us trying to load a big hog in my SUV.

Nope I neva hunt with dogs since 1987 but my dad continued to hunt with dogs long after.  We don't use dogs anymore only block trail. No can keep up with the dogs anymore or handle the terrain. Just shoot and drive up to um.

Ah ok I figured that since the dog pics were older pics.  And there's nothing wrong with blocking trail either just being out there enjoying nature and camaraderie. And bonus if you get to get a hog or two down on the ground and even better yet if can drive up to um and load um up lol.

Happy huntin'
