when i joined the open shoot. DL asked Mark to partnered with me since it was my first time. Mark instructed and Taught me how to draw pistol safely from my holster and he accompanied me thru out the open shoot to make sure im doing it safely.

we have made some changes from past equipment/instruction that will hopefully be seen as an improvement

HDF classes are not "defensive training" nor ccw classes

if this state ever gets CCW, there will be guidelines and requirements in place, and hopefully that type of training will be provided by many groups

doofus?

HDF range day classes teach fundamentals and skills that are a little beyond what can be done on the "static" side of the range
they are not a replacement for more costly, extensive training that can be done on private ranges or on the mainland
basically a taste of what you can do outside of sitting/standing at a bench and shooting 5 rounds slowfire at 25, 50, or 100 yards

Nice answers to all but the "D" in the HDF Stands for defense as in your 2nd amendment or your civil defense of your rights to bear arms. Not to be confused with the little part that we do at the range but  the big picture of our shooting community as a whole.
