I sure as hell don't need a permit to choose my religion, so why the hell do I need a permit to acquire a firearm?

2. Issue a stern verbal warning to the attacker.
3. Racist or demeaning language will not be condoned.
4. If time allows, try to establish a meaningful conversation with the attacker to determine if he/she has psychological or substance abuse issues.

Weell, in retrospect, I can understand why a sight of a service member armed on US soil would provoke anti-govt. sentiment - and might be unconstitutional.

you must calmly and politely ask him or her to cease violent activities
