“People who want to defend their families don’t need a 100-round drum magazine and an automatic weapon to do it,” said Krekorian, who championed the ban at a rally Tuesday outside City Hall. But if someone wanted to do harm, Krekorian added, “imagine what a gunman on this sidewalk could do with that kind of firepower with a crowd like this.” - Um yeah cuz no one besides your own security detail has CCW.  AGAIN, CRIMINALS DON'T PAY ATTENTION TO LAWS!!!
No one is coming, it’s up to us.

Legislation should never be about depriving law abiding citizens of something, but rather taking those things away from criminals.

so he is implying that law-abiding, gun owning citizens would irrationally kill people, so they should ban 10+ magazines? hmmm...okkkkkaaay..... that makes a lot of sense. Reminds me of a scene from Red Dawn:
Col. Strelnikov: [he lectures the Russo-Cuban Army about what must be done regarding the Wolverines]:
"From this moment on... There will be no further reprisals against civilians. This was stupid. Impotence. Comrades... If a fox stole your chickens... Would you slaughter your pig because he saw the fox? No. You would hunt the fox... You would find where it lives and destroy it! And how do we do this? Become a fox"

It is easier to blame & slaughter the pig that witnessed the crime than go after the fox...

Yes, and if you happen to have an anti-pig agenda, it achieves your primary objective of killing the pig.  The false promise that somehow this will in some way prevent the fox from stealing more chickens is irrelevant!

Quite ridiculous..... I've already sanded down my magazine blocks so they can hold the intended 15 rounds.... when I travel of course.  They're obviously disassembled here in the great state of Hawaii.............
"The rifle is a weapon. Let there be no mistake about that. It is a tool of power, and thus dependent completely upon the moral stature of its user. It is equally useful in securing meat for the table, destroying group enemies on the battlefield, and resisting tyranny. In fact, it is the only means of resisting tyranny, since a citizenry armed with rifles simply cannot be tyrannized."

Considering the Democrats recent resurgence in gun control efforts, I would not be surprised if some variation is put forth in our next legislative session. While these gun control efforts have failed so far at the federal level, they have been seeking to make progress at the state/county/city level.

I purchased new followers for my magazines.  I change them out when I get to a state that allows more than 10 and restore the blocked follower before heading back home. :shaka:
