Young Guns
OGC
Security Equipment
and (of course) Windward Guns

are the stores you can check for powder.  I'm sure there are others as well.

It seems that you have to be at the right place at the right time (including the classifieds of this site) to get pistol powder locally. I don't believe OGC sells powder. Security Equipment has a book you can sign up for powder, and one for guns etc..., when a shipment comes in they will call you and ask you if you are interested, if you say yes they will hold some for you. They also have good prices. I was fortunate enough to drop in at Young Guns when they had Titegroup and snag a bottle, they usually have a limit per day. The were sold out a couple of days later when I went back.

OGC does not sell powder or any other types of cartridge components.

They used to sell powder and primers. Not sure why they stopped?

From OGC web site "OGC DOES NOT CARRY, SELL OR STORE POWDER OR PRIMERS until or unless a safe, secure, legal and zoning compliant arrangement can be made in the future!"

I guess I know why now. Thanks. The funny thing is that they used to sell powder and primers at the same location where they are at now. I wonder what changed?

I wonder what the difference is between storing ammo on site and storing powder on site?

There are specific rules for powder....
Something about a wooden cabinet that can release pressure easily.

Why cannot store in a metal filing cabinet?  ::)

I think it is 1" thick wooden box, maximum 20 pounds storage in "one location" for residential storage.  Of course, storing in the house including the garage is not the best location even if you have the wooden box . . .  :o

Best place to store ammo is in the firearm's chamber and inserted magazine.  :D
