It was interesting seeing Trump answer the question about how he had donated money to Clinton before and he pretty much admitted yes he donated money so he could get what he wanted from them later. Pretty much just admitted to unethical conduct though of course I am sure it is not rare. He just didn't have some slimy politician answer to it, just admitted to it and said it was actually a broken system. I think Trump is really just an opportunist somewhere in the middle of democrat and republican.
Yes, he admitted to donating to Killary, and to more than half of the men standing on the stage with him, and NONE of them denied it. Corporations donate to BOTH sides, to insure that whomever wins they are guaranteed political favors. He was on point with his response, this isn't considered unethical, it's just how business is done. Make a list of the biggest contributors to both parties, you will find the same names on BOTH lists.
Is Trump an opportunist? Absolutely, he's a businessman, it's what they do. Is he a bombastic, arrogant asshole? Absolutely, but look at the results, he's managed to do what no other candidate has been able to do for the last 30 years, bring some excitement, some hope of victory to the GOP.
All because he tells the truth, as he sees it, without a PC filter. The reason everyone is pissed at him is that he's set the establishment on its ear. Does anyone think that we would be having the same discourse about immigration we're having now if he hadn't entered the race? No way, we'd be hearing mealy mouthed crap about amnesty and "paths to citizenship", just more of the same crap they've been feeding us for years, without results. He has forced the establishment candidates to stand up and push for what WE want for a change. He's touched a nerve because we all realize that the policies the GOP has been using aren't working and that needs to change.
Whether he wins the nomination or not, he's done us a favor, he's allowed the GOP field to say what needs to be said.
