FBI getting 20mm rifles, no you can't have one
« on: December 11, 2009, 10:39:16 AM »
It looks like your miniscule .50 BMG will be nothing to the FBI. Apparently they are picking up a couple of 20mm Mag-Fed rifles.

According to this website, the FBI is spending about $13,000 apiece on two MagFed 20mm rifles. You read that right; not “.20-caliber” but “20mm.” We’re talking serious firepower here, a round capable of – as the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence eagerly repeats at every opportunity to foment hysteria – shooting down a small airplane. That’s a cartridge with an effective range of more than 1,300 meters. It’s a cartridge that can launch a 4-ounce armor-piercing bullet, or even an explosive charge and put it on target from perhaps a mile.

Check out the size of that cartridge.  :o  :o :worship:

This website says the ammo is $9.50 each round, $15 for tracer rounds:

That's not too much more than .50 BMG :)
