Shipping a magazine to hawaii
« on: September 02, 2015, 07:33:16 PM »
Yo guys just want to play it safe here.
Was wondering if it's okay to have an ffl dealer and private dealer to send 10RD magazines directly to my home? Thanks

Magazines, firearm parts (except the receiver/frame transfers), other accessories, and firearms you own don't need an FFL.  Can be shipped without FFL.

Only things that need FFLs through the mail are firearms and receiver/frames that you are purchasing/transferring from another person to yourself or from yourself to another person.

So what about a 17rd mag casing by itself without the base pad and spring?
Okay to just send the casing?

If the magazine is disassembled and shipped as a "kit", you can have ALL PARTS shipped  to you legally.  Just don't assemble it unless it is limited to 10rds, and especially don't insert it into a pistol with > 10rd capacity!!

BTW, we all assume you are discussing pistol magazines.  There is no 10 round limit for rifle magazines unless they also fit a pistol.
