I'll take a look at this when I'm not so tired, but I'm pretty sure I know right where it's headed.  The Democratic party didn't become the party of blacks until the Republicans had restored enough of their human rights to turn them into a sizeable voting bloc.  Everyone seems to have forgotten that it was a Democratic governor of Alabama that was standing in the door of the school to prevent integration, and a Republican president that sent in the National Guard to force him to move.

People have the idea that getting checks and special treatment from the government means that the government cares about you.  It's simply untrue.  Who is more racist, the guy who thinks you can succeed on your own merits, or the guy who thinks you need a handicap to succeed, simply because of your skin color?  I believe that everyone gets a fair chance, and should succeed or fail based on their own aptitude.

People have the idea that getting checks and special treatment from the government means that the government cares about you.  It's simply untrue.  Who is more SOCIALIST, the guy who thinks you can succeed on your own merits, or the guy who thinks you need a BAILOUT to succeed, simply because you are TOO BIG TO FAIL?  I believe that everyone gets a fair chance, and should succeed or fail based on their own aptitude.

The whole race inequality thing used to be an entertaining argument, but now it's reached a point where 45.345 million Americans are on food stamps while the richest 400 families own 50% of all us assets, pay less in taxes, receive massive bailouts and subsidies, and have been raking in record profits while the foundations of the empire continue to crumble. I guess that's what you get when there are only two parties representing 312 million people. Racism is soooo 2007 back when people had these things called jobs and could afford to be distracted by those around them that looked and talked differently. Class warfare is what's hot this fall.

The problem with this video is it neglects to bring up the point that conservatism used to have a completely different meaning that what it does today. Once upon a time conservatives used to be ok with paying taxes and having a functional central government. Now it seems to be a justification for greed. If Reagan came around today they'd be calling him a socialist.
